Job Description
About the Role: Perform insurance verification and authorization for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services to ensure accurate coverage determination and timely patient access to care. Collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to support backend operations, including benefit verification, prior authorizations, and scheduling support. Maintain accurate patient records, resolve insurance-related issues, and communicate effectively with providers, therapists, and patients to facilitate seamless care coordination. Contribute to efficient departmental operations while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and payer requirements. Delivers service in conjunction with Hospital's customer service standards and expectations.
Qualifications: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology through formal training/previous experience. Two years professional or hospital billing experience. 1-3 years of experience.
