Responsibilities

As an Analyst with Hines, you will provide research and analytical support associated with acquisitions, development projects, and/or asset management of operating properties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and update financial models to analyze new investments and residential real estate development opportunities.

  • Participate in the structuring and economic-financial assessment of new business ventures, including feasibility, sensitivity, and return-on-investment analyses.

  • Support the financial and operational tracking of ongoing projects by monitoring budgets, cash flow, performance indicators, and projections.

  • Prepare management reports and materials to track investments and present results to investors.

  • Develop corporate and investment presentations for potential investors, partners, and internal committees.

  • Support the preparation of materials related to portfolio ventures, including performance analyses and project status updates.

  • Provide support across the various stages of the real estate development process, working alongside multidisciplinary teams—including development, legal, sales, design, construction, and finance.

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and supply and demand studies to support investment decisions.

  • Support due diligence processes, land acquisition, and the structuring of new projects.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department's processes, controls, and analysis tools.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics.

  • Prior experience with real estate developers, real estate funds, consultancies, investment banks, or real estate asset managers.

  • Knowledge of Power BI, VBA, or data visualization tools.

  • Experience preparing presentations for investors and investment committees.

  • Knowledge of the residential market and real estate development.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Analyze real estate and industry trends from a strategic point of view; Analyze and interpret various types of data in order to draw conclusions and solve problems.

  • Perform numerical and financial calculations and analysis.

  • Exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Think creatively and contribute to project success.

  • Successfully manage a variety of tasks within a tight time schedule.

  • Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

  • Interact with employees, visitors, and business partners with poise and diplomacy.

  • Ability to handle very stressful, high pressured atmosphere.

  • Establish and maintain a cooperative working atmosphere among staff.

  • Ability to leverage technology and internet to perform all job functions at the highest level.

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
