Position Overview
The Loader for Ecoservices in Long Beach, CA is responsible for loading and unloading railcars and trucks in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. This position is an eight-hour rotating shift that starts at $43.41 per hour.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Assist or direct tank truck drivers to safely load or unload materials
- Perform inspections of tanks, trucks, railcars and other equipment such as staircases, safety showers, rotating equipment, etc
- Monitor loading and unloading activity, including DCS system, to identify then timely and correctly respond to process deviations
- Inspect and operate track mobile to move railcars within plant
- Gauge tank levels
- Placard railcars
- Use heavy hand tools to perform railcar work
- Complete minor autonomous maintenance as required
- Perform tank valve line ups
- Ensure a smooth shift change and share all pertinent information with oncoming shift.
- Enter work notifications/orders and incident reports
- Support site turnaround activities as required
- On the Job Training Required: Track mobile, DOT
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
- Must be able to wear a full-face respirator
- Must be able to work shift work
Preferred Qualification:
Two years of experience of loading and unloading in a chemical manufacturing setting.
Compensation:
The base hourly pay for this position, based on the job description criteria listed, is $43.41 per hour. Hourly pay ranges are determined using market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum pay for the position.
An individual’s pay within the range is determined by factors including, but not limited to, location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
In some cases, compensation may fall outside of the stated range based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one component of the company’s total rewards package provided to recognize and compensate employees for their work.
Rotating 8 hour shift schedule at Dominguez. Fixed shift schedule at El Segundo. Start times and end times can vary, with overtime. Primarily Monday through Friday, but weekends and holidays will be worked as needed.
