Job Description
KGS Law, PLLC is seeking a motivated Personal Injury/Consumer Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in client advocacy and litigation, along with an understanding of legal procedures, court rules, and professional and ethical responsibilities.This position will handle matters involving personal injury and consumer protection and will work collaboratively with attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for our clients. Candidates should possess strong communication, research, writing, and organizational skills and be comfortable managing multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, settlements, arbitrations, and court proceedings.Conduct legal research and analysis in support of personal injury and consumer protection matters.Investigate consumer complaints and identify potential legal claims and violations.Pursue claims and litigation against companies alleged to have engaged in unfair or deceptive business practices.Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.Manage an active caseload while maintaining deadlines and case priorities.Participate in the development and implementation of case strategies.Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.Represent the Firm professionally in legal associations, professional organizations, and other appropriate settings.Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of or demonstrated interest in personal injury and consumer protection law.Understanding of applicable consumer protection laws and regulations.Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Proficiency with legal research tools and case-management software.Strong negotiation, advocacy, and litigation skills.Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and professionally.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to manage multiple matters, competing priorities, and deadlines.Strong interpersonal and client-service skills.Commitment to advocating for clients' rights and interests.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.0–3 years of relevant legal experience. Experience involving personal injury, consumer protection, DTPA claims, litigation, or arbitration is preferred but not required.Active license to practice law in Texas and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
