Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor provides instructional support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor, Human Learning Systems. The Job Corps program is a federally funded residential training program. Job Corps’ mission is to educate and train youth ages 16-24 for successful careers in the nation’s fastest-growing industries.
Summary of Duties: The Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor is responsible for providing students with industry recognized instruction and training leading to full-time jobs, higher education or advanced training.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Provide students with quality career technical training instruction in a safe and clean environment which results in high completion and placement performance.
- Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits; coordinate with counselors and other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
- Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
- Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
- Participate on student evaluation of students’ progress (ESP); establish quality goals for students during each evaluation period.
- Maintain accountability by documenting class attendance (class periods) daily.
- Maintain and monitor progress and attendance records, frequently update individual student progress on training achievement records (TARS).
Education and Experience | A minimum of one-year experience in teaching or related field required. Certified Registered Nurse (RN), licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization. |
