Position Summary

The HR Generalist & Site Operations Support serves as the primary on-site Human Resources resource for Hydromotion employees and leaders. This position provides day-to-day HR support while coordinating essential site administrative functions that help keep the operation running smoothly.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and partnering closely with the Director of Human Resources, this role supports employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, training, engagement, and site operations. Success in this role requires a people-first mindset, sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance employee support with business objectives.

What You'll DoEmployee Relations
  • Serve as the primary on-site resource for employee questions, concerns, and HR guidance.
  • Support employee relations matters, including coaching, attendance management, conflict resolution, and corrective action documentation.
  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources on complex employee relations matters while coordinating on-site follow-up.
  • Foster a respectful, professional, and compliant workplace culture.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer administration.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and initial training coordination.
  • Maintain accurate employee records throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with hiring managers to provide an outstanding candidate and new hire experience.
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Help administer and interpret company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain HR documentation, personnel files, and HRIS records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support HR audits, reporting, recordkeeping, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
Employee Development & Engagement
  • Coordinate safety, compliance, leadership, and employee development training.
  • Track training completion and maintain training records.
  • Support employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and internal communications.
  • Assist with employee surveys, feedback initiatives, and follow-up action planning.
  • Partner with leadership to reinforce Hydromotion's culture and values.
Site Operations Support
  • Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities that support site operations.
  • Manage office supply inventory, vendor service coordination, and general office organization.
  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for visitors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Coordinate meetings, interviews, employee events, training sessions, and site activities.
  • Prepare internal communications, notices, and employee information updates.
  • Maintain organized administrative records and documentation.
  • Partner with site leadership to support operational needs while maintaining HR as the primary focus of the role.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (ADP experience preferred).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote HR team.
  • Calm, professional presence in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Staffing and recruiting experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience supporting workplace safety programs, learning management systems, or compliance initiatives.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Employee-focused mindset balanced with business needs and operational priorities.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Regular interaction with employees throughout the production facility.
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to support business needs.
