Respiratory Therapist – Part TimeJob Description

Join our Sea Breeze Sleep & Medical team as a Part-Time Respiratory Therapist and play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our patients suffering from sleep apnea. This position focuses on conducting CPAP/BiPAP equipment setups and providing hands-on patient education, working two days per week on a consistent, recurring schedule. You'll help patients get started on the right path to better sleep and better health.

Minimum Requirements
  • Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program
  • State licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of New Hampshire
  • DME experience related to CPAP and BiPAP therapy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in operating computers and webcam-based communication
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Reliable availability for two consistent days per week
Preferred Requirements
  • Salesforce experience or knowledge
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct CPAP and BiPAP equipment setups for new and existing patients
  • Explain the purpose and procedure of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients, providing clear, thorough education
  • Set BiPAP and CPAP machines according to prescribed settings
  • Properly fit new masks, instruct patients on mask care, and troubleshoot fit issues
  • Answer patient questions regarding therapy adherence, cleaning, and equipment use
  • Appropriately communicate client feedback to other departments
  • Multi-task, set priorities, pay attention to detail, and manage time effectively
  • Effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing; multiple languages a plus
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual)
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Document setups and patient education thoroughly and accurately in patient records
  • Monitor patients' machine usage and report it to insurance companies as needed
  • Work independently while coordinating with the broader clinical team

Schedule & Pay
  • Competitive hourly pay: $28–$32/hour, based on experience
  • Part-time schedule: two days per week, consistent day(s) to be determined
