Job Description

Overview:
The Quality Engineer will support the development and standardization of quality systems across engineering operations, including design, manufacturing, and documentation workflows.

This role is focused on building a strong foundation in process definition, documentation, and digital infrastructure. During the initial period, the engineer will work cross-functionally to map workflows, improve process visibility, and support the transition from manual to digital systems across engineering.

This position is designed to ramp into a full Quality Engineer role with increasing ownership over time.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development and standardization of procedures and work instructions across engineering operations (EE, ME, and other company departments).
• Assist in mapping end-to-end engineering processes, from design through manufacturing, to identify gaps and inefficiencies.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives, helping transition engineering and quality processes from manual/analog to structured digital systems.
• Own and improve the SharePoint structure for engineering, including document control, organization, and migration of legacy data.
• Work with engineering and operations teams to ensure consistent documentation practices and version control.
• Support the definition of process flows, handoffs, and responsibilities across teams.
• Assist in organizing and tracking quality data, documentation, and process metrics.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action tracking (CAPA) as processes are formalized.
• Participate in internal audits and ensure engineering documentation aligns with ISO 9001 and internal standards.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field (or near completion).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Basic understanding of engineering and manufacturing workflows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools; willingness to learn SharePoint and digital systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure to ISO 9001 or quality management systems (QMS).
• Experience with process mapping, documentation, or workflow tools.
• Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement concepts.
• Interest in digital transformation within engineering environments.
