Job Description
Job Title: Switchboard Operator
Compensation (Based on experience and qualifications) Starting at $17.30
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with a Saturday Rotation 8:00am - 1:00pm
We are currently seeking a Switchboard Operator to join our medical team and provide excellent customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with a courteous and professional demeanor. The operator is responsible for managing incoming calls and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate person or department.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and greet callers with a pleasant demeanor
- Efficiently transfer calls to the appropriate person or department
- Screen calls according to established guidelines
- Accurately process messages and schedule appointments when necessary
- Provide basic customer service to callers in achieving high performance standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of Medical office assistant experience or ‘inbound’ call center experience required
- Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
- Certification and/or experience in billing, and coding preferred.
- Medical terminology, and automated office experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Requirements:Education and Experience
