Concession Technician - Part Time in Baytown, Texas at City of Baytown

We’re looking for a friendly, dependable Concession Technician - Part-Time to help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest. In this role, you’ll collect payments for food and ticket sales, take and prepare orders with care, and maintain clean, sanitary food preparation and serving areas. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding health and safety standards while inspecting food items and supplies. • Collects payments for food items and ticket sells.
• Takes and prepares food orders, cleans utensils, equipment, storage, food preparation and serving areas for the purpose of maintaining sanitary conditions.
• Responds to inquiries of staff and the public for the purpose of providing information and/or direction.
• Inspects food items and/or supplies for the purpose of verifying quantity and specifications of orders and/or complying with mandated health requirements.
• Performs all other job related duties as assigned.

Required:

• Must be sixteen years of age.
• Basic reading and writing skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in food preparation and service.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX driver’s license within 90 days).

Knowledge of basic math, health standards and hazards, cooking, handling cash, and safety practices and procedures. Ability to operate food preparation equipment, work as part of a team, and cook food. Ability to get along appropriately with co-workers and the public.

Attendance is an essential function of this position. The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime. This position provides services or performs duties for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations. These may include services or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of your job. In the event of an evacuation, the incumbent in this position may be required to remain to perform needed services.
