Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Business Analyst supports NTFB’s financial goals through financial reporting, analysis, and insight generation. This role provides analysis on financial performance, trends and variances, and partners across departments to support data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Financial analysis experience preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Aptitude for collaboration and customer service
- Demonstrates initiative, problem-solving ability and eagerness to learn
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) preferred
- Working knowledge of financial modeling, SQL, and visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI and Jet Reports), with the ability to develop and maintain reports and dashboards
Experience:
- Two years of relevant work experience required
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform financial data analysis, including budget vs. actuals, forecasting and performance trends and financial modeling to interpret results, identify key insights, and develop recommendations to support decision-making
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Translate business needs into clear reporting and analysis outputs, identifying trends, insights, and opportunities to inform business decisions
- Support process improvement and documentation, including business process flows and system documentation
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, consistent and efficient reporting, providing analytical insights to support business decisions
- Provide end-user training and support to promote effective system adoption
- Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, special projects and other duties as assigned

- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Eye strain, repetitive wrist motion and general fatigue from long periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
