This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a JAMF Engineer based in the United States.
This role offers an opportunity to support and enhance enterprise macOS endpoint management in a complex, security-focused environment. You will be responsible for deploying, administering, and optimizing JAMF Pro infrastructure to ensure seamless lifecycle management of Apple devices at scale. The position plays a critical role in maintaining endpoint security, compliance, and operational efficiency across enterprise systems, with strong alignment to federal cybersecurity standards. You will work across identity, automation, and device management ecosystems while collaborating with technical stakeholders to deliver reliable and secure Apple device experiences. This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role suited for someone experienced in JAMF environments who enjoys solving infrastructure challenges, improving automation, and strengthening endpoint security posture.
- Administer, maintain, and optimize JAMF Pro environments supporting enterprise-scale macOS device management.
- Manage macOS device lifecycle processes including provisioning, enrollment, inventory, patching, and retirement.
- Configure and support Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) workflows.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain JAMF policies, configuration profiles, smart groups, and automated workflows.
- Package and distribute macOS applications and operating system updates across enterprise environments.
- Integrate JAMF with identity and authentication platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and Okta.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Shell to improve operational efficiency.
- Support integration between JAMF Pro and enterprise endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune.
- Troubleshoot device management, enrollment, policy enforcement, and software deployment issues.
- Ensure compliance with security baselines and federal cybersecurity frameworks including NIST and FISMA requirements.
- Produce operational, inventory, and compliance reports for stakeholders and technical leadership.
- Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Provide Tier II/III support for JAMF-related incidents and service requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance endpoint security, automation, and device management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering JAMF Pro in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience managing macOS devices at scale, including provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Experience implementing JAMF environments, including cloud-based deployments, migrations, or new builds.
- Deep understanding of Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
- Strong knowledge of macOS administration, endpoint security, and enterprise device management best practices.
- Experience integrating JAMF with identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or Okta.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management ecosystem integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder collaboration.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment.
- Preferred experience supporting federal government or highly regulated environments.
- Certifications such as JAMF Certified Associate/Technician/Admin/Expert, Security+, or related IT certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FISMA, Zero Trust frameworks, and macOS security baselines is highly desirable.
