Overview
As a key business partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance, you will convert daily manufacturing activity into reliable financial results. This role is suited for an earlycareer accounting professional who is detailoriented, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fastpaced production environment.
You will gain strong exposure to crossfunctional teams, process improvement initiatives, and system enhancements, while contributing directly to the financial health and operational success of the Puerto Rico site.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll support endtoend accounting activities that keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly. You will:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearend close by preparing journal entries, analyzing account trends, and completing account reconciliations.
- Help maintain accurate ledgers and financial records, partnering with other teams to gather information and resolve discrepancies.
- Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to validate inventory activity, review variances, support cycle counts, and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
- Contribute to fixed asset accounting by maintaining asset records, preparing depreciation, tracking constructioninprogress, and supporting asset audits.
- Prepare financial reports and help analyze results, providing insights into costs, margins, and operational performance.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness. Additionally, ensure proper follow-up on all outstanding open items.
- Validate production transactions, scrap, yields, and material movements in collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain.
- Reconcile inventoryrelated accounts and investigate variances or unusual trends.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by preparing schedules and variance explanations.
- Use ERP systems like SAP or JDE and help identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and explanations.
- Maintain the fixed asset subledger, ensuring timely capitalization, disposals, transfers, and retirements.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis to support site leadership and corporate finance.
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen internal controls and enhance visibility into manufacturing performance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required with 1+ years of accounting experience; or Business Administration Degree and 3+ years or accounting experience.
- CPA certification a plus.
- Exposure to manufacturing and/or cost accounting.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and fundamental accounting principles.
- Handson experience with cost accounting, account reconciliations, and monthend close activities.
- Proficiency with ERP platforms (SAP strongly preferred) and Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for effective communication with U.S.-based teams.
- Advanced analytical, problemsolving, and communication abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to recognize broader financial and operational impacts.
- Excellent organizational skills, a strong sense of urgency, proactive, and continuousimprovement mindset.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across crossfunctional teams.
