About the Role:

Lead and manage the Lime Division to achieve improved profitability, effective return on assets, and strong operational performance across the quarry network. Ensure all sites meet KPIs and comply with safety and environmental standards and leads strategic business initiatives across the Lime Division.


This role is able to be based either in Christchurch, Timaru/Geraldine, or Dunedin.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead health, safety, wellbeing and environmental compliance across all lime sites.
  • Provide leadership and support to quarry managers and operational teams.
  • Maintain & increase Lime product sales working with Customers and Ravensdown Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Develop and implement operational and marketing plans for the Lime Division, working closely with Ravensdown Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Manage financial performance, budgets, and delivery of returns on capital.
  • Ensure efficient, compliant operations and consistent product quality across sites.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, regulators, and local communities.

About You:

You are an experienced quarry and operations leader with strong commercial judgement and people leadership capability. You are comfortable operating in a regulated environment, balancing safety, environmental compliance, and commercial outcomes

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • A valid A Grade Quarry Manager Certificate of Competency.
  • 8+ years’ experience in quarry management with proven people leadership experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers and local communities.
  • Strong knowledge of quarry health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget and cost management.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing and business development.
  • Sound judgement and confidence making decisions in complex environments.
  • Experience in resource and operational planning.
