Director, Strategic Financial Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Strategic Financial Operations based in United States.

This is a senior strategic finance leadership role at the intersection of commercial strategy, financial planning, and global operations within a fast-scaling, client-centric environment. The Director, Strategic Financial Operations will act as a key advisor to executive leadership, driving enterprise-wide financial strategy, profitability optimization, and data-driven decision-making. You will build and refine financial models that inform pricing, margin performance, and resource allocation across global operations. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and go-to-market leaders to translate complex financial data into clear business insights. You will also play a central role in improving financial processes, enhancing forecasting accuracy, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. This position combines high-level strategic influence with deep analytical execution in a dynamic, globally distributed organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as a primary financial advisor to executive leadership, delivering insights on P&L performance, growth opportunities, and financial risk across global operations.
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models supporting pricing strategy, client profitability analysis, and enterprise-wide resource allocation.
  • Lead margin, profitability, and cost analysis to identify efficiency opportunities and revenue growth drivers.
  • Build accurate forecasting frameworks and support revenue planning in collaboration with cross-functional business and finance teams.
  • Partner with CRM, revenue tracking, and client reporting teams to ensure data consistency and actionable financial insights.
  • Design and deliver executive-level presentations translating complex financial data into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and operating models to enhance scalability and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with global finance teams on audits, compliance, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
  • Support strategic pricing initiatives and evaluate financial impact of new business opportunities and client programs.
  • Champion financial discipline and operational excellence across distributed, multi-currency business environments.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, strategic financial operations, FP&A, or a related senior financial leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, pricing strategy, and margin analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial and data analysis tools.
  • Experience working with multi-currency environments, global financial operations, and cross-border financial structures.
  • Knowledge of global tax frameworks (e.g., VAT) and international invoicing processes is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior executives and influence strategic business decisions.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
  • Demonstrated experience leading process improvements and building scalable financial systems.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across global, cross-functional teams.
