About the Role

Picklebet launched in 2020 in Australia and since then has grown to become a top 10 bookmaker in the country. We offer a wide range of racing, sporting, and esports markets, and as we scale, we are looking to fill our overnight window with two experienced traders. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the overnight trading operation as Picklebet expands into new international markets.

While Australia sleeps, you’re the trader running the show, staying across UK racing, the North American sports peak, and live markets. Backed by a small team of other traders, you will make the big calls in the moment and keep the book moving until the Australian morning. As a fast-growing global bookmaker, Picklebet offers traders the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help shape the future direction of the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage markets across a mix of sports, racing and esports during UK-hours coverage.
  • Monitor live events and adjust prices and liabilities in real time.
  • Manage risk and exposure, escalating liabilities in line with trading policy.
  • Resolve markets accurately and promptly.
  • Play an active role in building special and promotional markets
  • Regularly check the front end offering is displaying accurate and informative data
  • Monitor for suspicious or irregular betting activity and escalate as required.
  • Maintain a seamless handover with the Australian traders at the start and end of each shift.
  • Liaise closely with other internal departments (including Fraud, AML, CS and Tech/Dev) to escalate incidents and ensure smooth operational continuity.
  • Adhere to trading processes, limits and compliance obligations.

What you'll bring

  • An experienced trader who can own a shift independently and make confident, informed decisions on the fly.
  • Sound judgement
  • Strong working knowledge across sports and racing; esports exposure a plus.
  • Calm under pressure, quick to react, and comfortable being a decision-maker
  • Clear communicator who keeps the day-side team informed and hands over cleanly.
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Passion for sport and/or racing

The pay range for this role is:
