This role is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of complex telecommunications infrastructure projects, ensuring the successful deployment of fiber-based and connectivity services for enterprise and carrier customers. You will manage multiple customer-facing projects across lit and dark fiber solutions, coordinating cross-functional teams spanning engineering, operations, sales, and field services. The position requires strong ownership of project timelines, budgets, and service quality, with a direct impact on customer experience and network deployment success. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication, proactive risk management, and alignment with contractual requirements. This is a highly collaborative role in a fast-paced, technical environment where precision, accountability, and customer advocacy are essential. You will also contribute to process improvements and performance tracking to enhance overall service delivery efficiency.
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for lit and dark fiber services, including kickoff, planning, execution, and closure
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and milestones while ensuring alignment with contractual and technical requirements
- Serve as the primary customer-facing point of contact, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and issue resolution
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, network operations, sales, procurement, and field services
- Develop, maintain, and track detailed project plans, schedules, and dependencies across multiple concurrent projects
- Monitor and report on project performance metrics, KPIs, and service delivery outcomes for internal and customer business reviews
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues while implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with outside plant and operational teams
- Drive continuous improvement by refining processes, reporting tools, and project management methodologies
- 5–10 years of experience in project management within telecommunications, fiber infrastructure, or related technical services environments
- Strong understanding of fiber networks, including lit services, dark fiber, Ethernet, waves, and related connectivity solutions
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects with external customer engagement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across internal and external teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in risk management and conflict resolution
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with fiber engineering, outside plant operations, permitting, construction, and field deployment processes (strong plus)
- Proficiency in project management tools, reporting dashboards, and performance tracking systems
- Self-driven mindset with strong ownership, accountability, and customer advocacy orientation
- Competitive salary ranging from $77,100 to $118,600 annually depending on experience and location
