This role plays a key behind-the-scenes function in supporting healthcare navigation by researching, validating, and organizing critical healthcare information for members and care teams. It is focused on delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights that help individuals make informed healthcare decisions with confidence. The position requires strong attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to interpret complex healthcare resources and systems. You will work closely with internal advocates, nurses, and support teams to ensure information is clear, reliable, and easy to use. - Conduct research across healthcare systems, databases, and reference materials to identify accurate provider and service information.
- Gather and document details on physicians, specialists, dental providers, eldercare services, nursing homes, and other healthcare resources.
- Identify relevant benefit plans and interpret available coverage information when applicable.
- Deliver clear, structured, and user-friendly research findings to internal nurses, advocates, and support teams.
- Respond to internal and member requests by providing accurate healthcare options and resource recommendations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records within internal systems and documentation platforms.
- Compile and format research results to support decision-making and care navigation.
- Track cases, follow up with members or providers, and ensure timely completion of research requests.
- Monitor trends or recurring research issues and escalate findings to leadership when needed.
- Ensure all work complies with internal quality standards and applicable regulations, including HIPAA and COBRA.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of healthcare-related or research-focused experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with consistent follow-through on assigned tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based research tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to interpret complex information and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., English/Spanish) may be preferred depending on assignment.
