The position combines technical knowledge, advisory skills, and project leadership to help clients achieve and maintain compliance objectives.
You will collaborate with technical architects, compliance professionals, and federal stakeholders to solve challenging security and regulatory problems.

Working remotely while supporting East Coast business hours, you will play a key role in strengthening security and compliance programs for mission-critical environments.
The Senior Compliance Advisor will lead compliance advisory engagements, support cloud security initiatives, and ensure successful delivery of FedRAMP-related projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Independently lead compliance walkthroughs, assessments, and advisory projects while ensuring delivery within established timelines and budgets.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain critical compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and security control materials.
- Review third-party assessment reports to validate accuracy, completeness, and alignment with compliance requirements.
- Partner with federal customers to interpret compliance obligations, clarify requirements, and support effective control implementation.
- Facilitate discussions between technical architects, security teams, and compliance professionals to align business and technical objectives.
- Provide subject matter expertise on cloud security controls, FedRAMP requirements, and compliance best practices.
- Conduct gap assessments to identify security risks, recommend remediation strategies, and support continuous compliance improvements.
- Mentor and support team members by sharing knowledge, improving processes, and promoting strong compliance practices.
- Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and industry standards to ensure strategies remain current and effective.
- Maintain a proactive, hands-on approach to solving complex challenges and delivering high-quality client outcomes.
The ideal candidate is an experienced compliance and cloud security professional with strong FedRAMP expertise and the ability to manage complex advisory projects. They should be comfortable working independently, communicating with diverse stakeholders, and translating technical requirements into practical compliance solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity compliance, or related advisory roles, with significant experience in FedRAMP environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, security controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects with strict timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
- Ability to perform detailed compliance assessments, identify gaps, and develop effective remediation strategies.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage federal customers and technical teams.
- Experience leading technical discussions and bridging the gap between security requirements and business objectives.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor colleagues and contribute to team development.
- Proactive, hands-on mindset with strong ownership and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud-specific security certifications are preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to support East Coast working hours.
