About Early Career Programs

Early Career Programs (ECP) connects college students and recent graduates with meaningful opportunities that launch careers and build lasting connections to Tulsa. The Early Career Programs team is a part of the larger Experience Tulsa team.

Through Campus Tulsa and Tulsa Service Year, we help emerging talent discover internships, fellowships, housing, professional development, and community experiences that encourage them to build both a career and a life in Tulsa.

Position Purpose

The Manager, Recruitment & Partnerships leads participant recruitment for Campus Tulsa and Tulsa Service Year by building relationships with colleges, universities, employers, and community partners that connect students and recent graduates with opportunities in Tulsa.

This role manages recruitment efforts from first outreach through enrollment, serves as the primary relationship manager for the Tulsa Higher Education Consortium (THEC), partners with Marketing on recruitment communications, and maintains the systems that support participant recruitment and engagement. During the summer, the Manager also works closely with employer partners to support intern engagement and connect students to Campus Tulsa programming.

Success in this role requires strong relationship-building, organization, communication, project management, and a passion for helping students discover opportunities and community in Tulsa.

Core Responsibilities

Recruitment & Partnerships

  • Lead recruitment efforts for Campus Tulsa and Tulsa Service Year from outreach through enrollment.
  • Build relationships with colleges, universities, faculty, career centers, student organizations, and the Tulsa Higher Education Consortium (THEC).
  • Coordinate campus visits, classroom presentations, information sessions, career fairs, and recruitment events.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire Experience Tulsa's Campus Tulsa summer interns.
  • Serve as a primary ambassador for Early Career Programs and promote Tulsa as a place where students can launch meaningful careers.
  • Ensure prospective participants receive timely communication and an outstanding experience throughout the recruitment process.

Student Engagement & Employer Relationships

  • Increase student participation in Campus Tulsa's job board, housing program, professional development, networking opportunities, and community events.
  • Build relationships with Campus Tulsa employer partners during the summer internship season.
  • Coordinate intern lunches, employer visits, and other engagement opportunities.
  • Encourage interns to participate in Campus Tulsa programming throughout the summer.
  • Gather employer and participant feedback to strengthen future programming and improve the participant experience.

Recruitment Operations

  • Partner with Marketing to plan recruitment campaigns, participant communications, and annual recruitment timelines.
  • Maintain participant, employer, and institutional information within HubSpot and Airtable.
  • Manage recruitment workflows, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Track recruitment, application, and participation metrics to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in recruitment, admissions, higher education, workforce development, partnership management, or a related field.
  • Experience building relationships with colleges, universities, employers, or community organizations.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using HubSpot, Airtable, or similar CRM systems is preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, and relationship-building skills.

  • Students leave the recruitment process excited about building their future in Tulsa.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for recruitment events and program activities.
  • Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel throughout Oklahoma during the academic recruitment season and as needed throughout the year.

Work Environment

This position is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with an in-person work environment. A strong in-person presence is expected to support relationship-building, campus engagement, and summer programming.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Automobile insurance.
  • Approximately 40% travel, primarily during the academic recruitment cycle.
