What you will do:
As the Shipping & Logistics Associate you will be responsible for processing and coordinating daily LTL and Ground shipments. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to maintain accuracy and productivity while working in a constantly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and coordinate a high volume of daily LTL and Ground shipments in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Prepare, verify, and accurately complete shipping documentation, labels, bills of lading, and carrier paperwork.
- Coordinate with carriers, Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to ensure shipments are ready and dispatched on schedule.
- Review orders and shipping requirements for accuracy prior to staging and loading.
- Ensure products are properly packaged, labeled, staged, and prepared for transportation.
- Prioritize shipments based on customer requirements, carrier schedules, and established shipping procedures.
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy during periods of heavy shipping volume and tight deadlines.
- Identify and communicate shipping discrepancies, shortages, damages, or other issues promptly.
- Follow established procedures for LTL, Ground, and other freight shipments.
- Maintain an organized and efficient shipping area.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow all required safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety, including proper lifting techniques, equipment operation, pedestrian awareness, and housekeeping.
- Support a team-oriented environment and assist with other warehouse and shipping responsibilities as needed.
- Support cycle counts and inventory audits related to shipping and receiving activity.
- Assist with resolving shipping errors, delayed deliveries, and customer or internal inquiries related to orders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment preferred.
- Warehouse equipment experience is a plus (forklift - stand up reach and sit down)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanning devices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekends or overtime as needed.
