Guardian Angel Homes is seeking compassionate, dependable Medication Technicians (Med Techs)/Caregivers to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care team.

What You'll Do

As a Med Tech/Caregiver, you'll provide compassionate personal care while safely administering medications under the direction of licensed nursing staff. This is a combined Med Tech/Caregiver role. Medication administration is only one part of the position. Team members are expected to provide the same hands-on resident care as our caregivers, including assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, dining, and resident engagement. Success in this role requires a commitment to both medication management and compassionate direct care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering medications and documenting medication administration accurately in accordance with company policies and state regulations
  • Observing residents for medication effectiveness or adverse reactions and promptly reporting concerns to the nurse
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Providing mobility assistance while promoting resident independence and safety
  • Assisting with meals, hydration, and dining support
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents' physical or mental condition
  • Documenting resident care and services provided
  • Responding to resident needs with compassion, patience, and respect
  • Supporting residents with memory care needs when applicable
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to provide exceptional resident care

Requirements:
  • Current CNA, HCA, NAR, or ability to obtain required credentials
  • Current Washington State Medication Technician certification
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and compassionate
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain
