Description:

SCOPE

You are responsible for selling insurance products that meet our client’s needs. You ensure our clients receive an AMAZING client experience with our Insurance Agency!

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Sales - 50%

  • You are the primary sales contact for Auto, Homeowner, Commercial & Life Policies.
  • You assist with Property & Casualty & Crop Book.
  • You are responsible for promoting, selling & servicing property, casualty, life, disability, life & crop insurance products to our clients.
  • You also cross-sell related insurance products.
  • You assist in negotiating with vendors for competitive pricing & terms for insurance products.
  • You are responsible for achieving personal & Agency sales goals as assigned by your supervisor.
  • You contact & qualify prospective clients & explain features & merits of policies offered, recommending amount & type of coverage based on analysis of prospect’s circumstances.
  • You are responsible for increasing volume of clients & policies using the R-E-A process, along with the call programs developed within your department. Attracting new clients is the main focus of this role, while Retaining & Expanding existing client relationships is also an important aspect.
  • Call programs may include calling on prospective clients with no existing agency relationship either in person or by phone.
  • You must maintain a general understanding of Profinium’s products & service offerings which will enable you to confidently & accurately identify additional client/prospect needs & execute partnership referral opportunities.
  • You must maintain annual certification to sell Part D.

Customer Service - 45%

  • You calculate & quote premium rates for recommended policies & verify accuracy of new policies.
  • You help seniors with their Medicare problems & Part D.
  • You order new Health insurance materials.
  • You do endorsements & quotes for current customers.
  • You follow-up with e-mails from insurance companies when additional client information is requested.
  • You manage policy renewals, modifications & cancellations, ensuring that clients have continuous coverage & addressing any policy-related inquiries or concerns.
  • You attend meetings, seminars & programs to learn about new products & services, learn new skills & receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.
  • You assist & serve as backup for the agency operating system.

Other - 5%

  • You provide secondary phone support.
  • You engage in community activities that assist in developing & enhancing the bank’s reputation as the leading provider of financial services in our markets. Active participation within the community is strongly encouraged.

  • You are required to achieve referral results based on annual targets communicated by your supervisor.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • You have a 4-year degree in a related field OR
  • You have 3-4 years of related experience and/or training OR
  • You have equivalent combination of education & experience
  • You must maintain your Property Casualty, Life & Health Insurance Licensures
  • You have a high numerical aptitude
  • You have the ability to maintain confidential information
  • You have the ability to work with multiple levels of management & agency staff.
  • You have skills needed in a typical office environment, including computer skills & utilization of office equipment

While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings, etc. You have the ability to operate a computer, carry, handle & feel objects; reach with hands & arms; communicate effectively & efficiently in person & over the phone. You must occasionally lift &/or move up to 25 pounds or more with assistance. You have the ability to travel to other locations as needed. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus.
