Full Stack Engineer in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack Engineer based in India.

This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering and developer experience, where you will design and build the core services that power internal engineering productivity at scale. You will play a key role in architecting robust backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure that support CI/CD pipelines, monorepo operations, and developer tooling used by hundreds of engineers. Working primarily with Golang and NodeJS, you will focus on building high-performance, scalable services that improve build reliability, speed, and developer workflows. The environment is highly technical and collaborative, involving close partnership with DevEx, SRE, and infrastructure teams. You will also contribute to the evolution of build systems and internal platforms that directly impact engineering efficiency. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone passionate about backend systems and platform engineering.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend API services, databases, and caching layers that support developer tooling and frontend operations.
• Own and enhance CI/CD systems, including GitHub Actions and internal build and deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of a large-scale NX monorepo, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in developer workflows, improving build speed, reliability, and system efficiency.
• Support backend requirements for desktop applications, including Electron-based tooling and release workflows.
• Collaborate with DevEx, SRE, and Test Infrastructure teams to improve end-to-end engineering productivity.
• Build and maintain high-quality internal APIs and services that enhance developer experience and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5–9 years of experience in backend or full stack engineering, with strong expertise in building scalable systems, APIs, and infrastructure-focused solutions. You should be comfortable working across backend services, databases, and CI/CD ecosystems, with a strong operational mindset and focus on developer productivity.

• 5–9 years of experience in full stack or backend engineering roles.
• Strong experience building scalable backend services using NodeJS and TypeScript; Golang experience or willingness to work with Go.
• Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, and API architecture.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with build systems and package managers (NX, Vite, Webpack, NPM, Yarn, PNPM, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on improving developer workflows and system reliability.
• Experience working in cloud environments (GCP preferred).
• Exposure to frontend technologies (especially React) is a plus for better context on developer needs.
