- Develop, maintain, and enhance project cost control systems that provide accurate and timely financial visibility for project teams and leadership.
- Perform project planning, tracking, forecasting, analysis, and reporting activities across projects of varying sizes, complexities, and contract structures.
- Collaborate with project management, finance, and procurement teams to establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project financial frameworks.
- Analyze project performance data and prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and visualizations that communicate project status and financial trends.
- Monitor project costs, schedules, and performance indicators, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Manage change orders, forecast impacts to project performance, and provide financial guidance to project stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain financial models, including revenue recognition, Estimates at Completion (EACs), Estimates to Complete (ETCs), burn rate analyses, and other forecasting tools.
- Support budget management processes by analyzing budgeted versus actual costs, identifying financial risks, and communicating findings to project teams.
- Administer subcontract and purchase order activities, including requisition preparation, invoice processing, accrual management, and related financial documentation.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support business planning, project reviews, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, contract requirements, and financial management standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, project finance, cost analysis, contract administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting processes.
- Experience supporting projects under multiple contract types, including Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), and Other Transaction Agreements (OTA).
- Knowledge of government contracting principles and indirect rate structures.
- Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and contract management practices, including FAR and DFARS, is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, forecasting, data analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project management or financial systems.
- Experience with tools such as Deltek Costpoint, Oracle SmartView, Cognos Reporting, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive salary ranging from $74,800 to $130,900 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
