Dance/Movement Therapy Outreach & Coordination Assistant - T. Kawano [Work Study]

Number of Positions: 2 - one student will focus on liaising with the professional organization (ADTA) and related external events (e.g. student subcommittee); while the other student will focus on internal events
Hours per Week: 5 hrs/2 students
Weekends Required: Flexible
Evenings Required: Flexible

Method to assess remote work: Work tasks are completed accurately and on time, with documentation that can be verified;
Communication with participants and faculty is tracked and confirmed (e.g., emails sent, responses logged); Rehearsal and meetings schedules, space/Zoom reservations, and participant lists are updated as needed; Outreach tasks for DMT practica (contacts made, groups recruited) are documented and verifiable; ADTA student liaison reports on local chapter and national student subcommittee work
Job Description
- Provides support to the Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) program through outreach, communication, and coordination of dance/movementbased activities.
- Assists faculty with choreography preparation for the One Billion Rising event and helps recruit and organize participants for DMT practica.
- This position supports program operations and community engagement efforts.
Qualifications
- Federal WorkStudy eligibility required; Enrolled student in the AUNE dance/movement therapy program; Strong communication and organizational skills;
- Takes initiative, and works collaboratively with diverse groups in an inclusive environment;
- Professionalism and comfort supporting dance/movementbased programming is a must.
