This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of clinical practice and operational execution, focused on improving how physicians engage with advanced oncology diagnostic solutions. The Director will shape and optimize physician-facing workflows, ensuring a seamless, high-quality ordering and onboarding experience across complex clinical environments. Acting as a peer-level clinical liaison, this individual will translate physician needs into scalable operational improvements that drive adoption, retention, and satisfaction. The role carries significant visibility across medical leadership, commercial, and laboratory teams, influencing both strategic direction and day-to-day execution. It requires a strong blend of clinical credibility, systems thinking, and operational rigor. You will play a key role in reducing friction in provider workflows while elevating the overall physician experience. This is a high-impact opportunity to directly shape how innovative diagnostic tools are integrated into oncology care pathways.
- Lead physician-facing medical operations for ordering providers, serving as a trusted clinical peer to resolve complex questions, reduce friction, and ensure a high-quality ordering experience across oncology diagnostic workflows.
- Own and evolve physician onboarding and engagement processes, improving adoption, retention, and long-term utilization through streamlined clinical and operational pathways.
- Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Laboratory, Engineering, and Commercial teams to translate clinical insights into scalable operational improvements and product enhancements.
- Oversee analysis of physician ordering behavior, operational metrics, and feedback trends to identify root causes, inefficiencies, and opportunities for system-wide optimization.
- Guide the resolution of clinical escalations and physician concerns, ensuring timely, accurate, and empathetic responses supported by medical judgment.
- Drive improvements in specimen quality, turnaround time performance, and ordering accuracy through targeted process redesign and stakeholder alignment.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that reduce provider attrition by addressing clinical workflow barriers and improving end-to-end physician experience.
- MD degree required, with clinical training sufficient to engage physicians as a credible peer; residency or additional post-graduate training preferred.
- 8–10+ years of experience spanning clinical practice, healthcare operations, consulting, or healthcare system optimization, with at least some exposure to structured operational improvement work.
- Strong understanding of physician workflows, clinical decision-making, and real-world constraints in ordering and diagnostic environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across clinical, operational, and commercial stakeholders in complex healthcare settings.
- Experience improving healthcare delivery systems, physician experience, or operational efficiency through data-driven and process-oriented approaches.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior clinical and non-clinical leaders without direct authority.
- Familiarity with diagnostic, oncology, or precision medicine environments is highly desirable, along with exposure to healthcare quality or compliance frameworks.
- Competitive annual compensation package with a base salary range typically aligned to senior director-level roles in healthcare operations.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and mental health coverage for employees and eligible dependents.
- Remote-first work environment with flexibility to support work-life balance.
- Equity and/or performance-based incentive opportunities depending on role structure.
- Generous paid time off, parental leave, and wellness-oriented benefits.
- Access to retirement savings plans (e.g., 401(k) where applicable).
- Opportunity to work at the forefront of oncology diagnostics and precision medicine innovation.
