The Maya – Front Desk Agent

Are you a people-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality and teamwork? The Maya is seeking a flexible, outgoing Front Desk Agent to cover a variety of shifts. You will be part of a supportive team that works together to create seamless, memorable guest experiences—whether you’re welcoming early arrivals, assisting late-night travelers, or ensuring smooth transitions between shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and assist guests, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage check-in/check-out efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Collaborate with teammates and coordinate with other departments to deliver outstanding service.
  • Promptly respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
  • Process payments, maintain accurate records, and handle cash responsibly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and perform light administrative duties.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior cash handling experience.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with Opera is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability for AM, PM, or Mid, including weekends and holidays.
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred; hotel experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 20–25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly between front desk and other areas as needed.
