CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Mechanical Engineer III to support production line installation and manufacturing engineering projects in a fast-paced production environment. This role will be responsible for equipment procurement, mechanical design, fixture development, installation support, and collaboration with internal teams and third-party contractors to ensure successful execution of manufacturing initiatives.

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Education: High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another technical field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Key Responsibilities- Support production line installation and equipment implementation projects
- Coordinate procurement of equipment, components, materials, and contractor services
- Design simple mechanical fixtures, assemblies, and equipment stands using CAD
- Apply mechanical engineering principles including mechanics, hydraulics, and machine design to resolve manufacturing challenges
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and mechanical part drawings
- Troubleshoot equipment installation and startup issues
- Work closely with Lead Engineers while independently developing technical solutions
- Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams and external contractors
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to engineering standards
- Mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and machine design
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience using CAD software
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting production equipment installation is highly preferred
