The GSI Client Services Operations Representative plays a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant support within a fast-paced insurance operations environment. This position focuses on managing client requests, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring regulatory requirements are consistently met. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues, improve processes, and enhance the overall client experience. The GSI Client Services Operations Representative is responsible for managing daily operational activities, supporting client service delivery, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulatory standards. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams while maintaining high-quality service levels.
- Manage and resolve client requests accurately while tracking workflows to meet service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, and productivity objectives.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, follow standard operating procedures, and escalate complex or non-standard requests when required.
- Process daily transfers, retro adjustments, and payments while reviewing reports, identifying issues, and taking proactive corrective actions.
- Support client due diligence activities and ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), privacy, and risk management requirements.
- Identify higher-risk client situations and coordinate enhanced due diligence activities with relevant compliance teams.
- Monitor audit activities, identify compliance gaps, and recommend process improvements to strengthen operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal partners including underwriting, sales, and finance teams, as well as external stakeholders such as advisors and plan administrators.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, cross-training initiatives, and team development activities to improve overall team performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, tools, and client experiences.
The ideal candidate is a service-focused professional with strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience working in structured operational environments. They should be comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and strong client relationships.
- University or college education in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different teams.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to client service, professionalism, teamwork, and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including AML, privacy requirements, and risk management frameworks.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance products, GSI systems, CEBS designation, or participation in related professional development programs is considered an advantage.
