Job Description

What You'll Do

As the Superintendent, you'll take ownership of day-to-day field operations on underground utility projects supporting large-scale data center construction. You'll be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality work while keeping projects on schedule and maintaining strong communication with project teams and trade partners.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead all daily field operations on assigned underground utility projects.
  • Manage crews installing water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and other underground infrastructure supporting data center developments.
  • Plan daily work activities while coordinating manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
  • Maintain project schedules while proactively identifying and resolving field challenges.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture through daily leadership, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, and routine safety inspections.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications, quality standards, and owner expectations.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and compliance activities throughout construction.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, utility profiles, and project schedules.
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to maintain budgets, production goals, and project milestones.
  • Mentor Foremen and field personnel while developing the next generation of construction leaders.
What You'll Bring

We're looking for a Superintendent who enjoys leading people just as much as building projects.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Strong experience managing underground utility installations including water, sewer, storm drain, and drainage systems.
  • Experience leading crews on large commercial, industrial, municipal, or infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of grading, excavation, earthwork, and site development.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, utility plans, and specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Previous data center or mission critical experience is a plus, but not required.
