International Business Compliance Senior Analyst

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
OVERVIEW:
Working as International Business Compliance Senior Analyst Full-time, you will enjoy the opportunity to work with corporate and regional based accounting, tax, information technology, sales, and operational leadership while ensuring compliance with United States and International regulations to support the growth initiatives of Fastenal's world-wide locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Developing and training others to achieve goals, optimize business results and interpret compliance regulations and how they impact Fastenal
o Leading initiatives in identifying, researching, and evaluating potential risks and regulatory changes
o Reviewing and approving team members' work, including but not exclusive to summaries on existing and upcoming regulatory issues, corporate governance documents, project plans, etc.
o Coordinating and participating in development of projects, including planning, testing, implementation and retrospect
o Assigning daily requests to the team for the greatest output and effectiveness
o Tracking and reporting on team output and metrics
o Driving continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, effectiveness and control of processes related to projects
o Communicating regulatory changes to management and other stakeholders
o Assisting in implementation of required business changes
o Reviewing policies, procedures, accounting documents, and training materials to identify and remediate risk
o Ensuring effective controls are developed and maintained to support international regulations and initiatives
o Performing special projects as required
o Performing other administrative tasks as necessary
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The skills and qualifications for this position include:
o 18 years of age or older
o Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, analytics, business law, or related degree OR have relevant work experience in accounting, tax, law, and/or project management
o Possess at least 2 years of Business Compliance, or similar relevant work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Possess strong computer skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, research, and analytical skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and prioritizing abilities
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug test (applicable in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Experience using PeopleSoft or other similar ERP system(s)
o Proficient using Microsoft TEAMS, Microsoft OneNote, and/or project management software solutions
o Experience researching legal, accounting, tax and other regulatory compliance matters
o Proven project management experience in multi-phase systems design, development, and implementation

COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $50,000 - 62,500. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
