Dietary Manager - Hickory Treatment Centers
Department: Dietary
Direct Report To: Executive Director
About the RoleThe Dietary Manager (DM), is the primary dietary and nutritional member of the team, working to integrate fresh foods to improve the health and general well-being of all clients.
Under the immediate supervision of the Executive Director, the Dietary Manager is responsible for all the daily operations of the kitchen. The Dietary Manager serves as a role model and mentor to all kitchen staff and therefore must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor always.

- Scheduling flexibility is required to accommodate client admissions, census and needs of the facility.
- Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own insurance.
Food Preparation & Culinary Quality
- Create recipes and meals that improve client nutrition and meet dietary, or allergy needs.
- Develop catered, celebratory or specialty dishes for marketing or special events
- Serve food for each special diet per physician order and in accordance with established standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clients
Inventory, Ordering & Budget Management
- Ensure all supplies are ordered, stocked, and properly stored, including food items, utensils, cleaning products, and cooking supplies.
- Submit a weekly food budget and track kitchen expenses, reporting spending and needs
Staffing, Training & Kitchen Operations
- Ensure the kitchen is adequately staffed in all areas.
- Provide necessary training for kitchen employees to ensure quality culinary standards are met
Safety, Sanitation, & Compliance
- Participate in cleaning and deep cleaning of the kitchen
- Report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to the Executive Director
$19.00-$23.00 hourly
