Inside Sales Assistant in Norfolk, Virginia at Mid-Atlantic Roofing Supply

The Inside Sales Assistant is responsible for answering phone calls, customer service, and data entry. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer and direct phone calls
• Sales support
• Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
• Data entry in new computer system (Agility by DMSI)
• Placing orders with vendors
• Maintain records and update information, Accounts Receivable, and enter AP Invoices as needed
• Maintain filing system
• Assist with Inventory keying

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required
• Proven work experience as an administrative assistant, clerical role, or sales support
• Good understanding of customer service
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Detail orientated
• Team player
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
• Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and scanners
• Ability to pick up new software quickly
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
