Position Overview

The Assistant Route Manager supports an established customer route by helping manage inventory, deliver products, maintain customer stock levels, and provide exceptional customer service.

You will work closely with a Route Manager while learning the business, supporting daily operations, and helping ensure customers receive the products and service they need. This role combines warehouse responsibilities, customer interaction, inventory management, and delivery operations.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with inventory management at customer locations
  • Deliver products to customer facilities safely and accurately
  • Stock shelves and organize inventory at customer sites
  • Generate invoices and process customer transactions
  • Track inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs
  • Assist with route planning and daily operational activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
  • Support warehouse operations as needed
  • Build positive relationships with customers through consistent service and communication
  • Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities based on business needs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service, delivery, warehouse, inventory, or sales experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds regularly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer and mobile device proficiency
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Work Environment

This is a physically active role that requires frequent lifting, driving, walking, and standing throughout the day.
