Carroll Water is seeking a dependable and motivated Well Pump Technician to join our growing Well and Pump Division. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, operating tools and equipment, working outdoors, and being part of a hardworking team.
No prior well pump experience? That's okay! We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety.
What You'll Do- Assist with the installation, service, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of well pump systems and related equipment.
- Assist drilling and pump crews with daily jobsite operations.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
- Operate company vehicles, hand tools, power tools, and equipment as trained and authorized.
- Assist with well drilling and pump service activities.
- Follow jobsite safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers and team members.
- Travel to residential, commercial, and other job sites throughout the company's service area.
- Participate in training and certification programs to develop technical skills.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
- Dependable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability and willingness to learn how to safely operate tools, equipment, machinery, and company vehicles.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Strong communication and professional customer-service skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer and job sites throughout the service area.
Preferred, but Not Required:
- Experience in well drilling, pump systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, construction, HVAC, or another skilled trade.
- Experience operating tools, equipment, or machinery.
- CDL or willingness to obtain a CDL.
This is a physically active, field-based position. Candidates must be able to:
- Regularly lift, carry, and move tools, equipment, materials, and components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift or move heavier materials with assistance or appropriate equipment.
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Work on uneven terrain, in confined or limited-access areas, and around residential and commercial jobsites.
- Use hands and arms repetitively to operate tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other environmental conditions.
- Safely enter and exit company vehicles and equipment.
- Perform essential job functions safely and efficiently.

Driving & Motor Vehicle RequirementsDriving is an essential part of this position. Employment is contingent upon:
- Maintaining a valid driver's license.
- Meeting Carroll Water's motor vehicle record (MVR) requirements.
- Remaining insurable under the Company's vehicle insurance policy.
Failure to meet or maintain these requirements may result in removal from driving duties or termination of employment, where permitted by applicable law.
