Casual Part-Time / On-Call | Minimum Wage | 3.5-Hour Shifts

Love little kids? Love organizing? Looking for a little extra activity and a few hours of work?

Kid City is looking for friendly and outgoing Play Helpers to help keep our toddler and pretend-play areas clean, organized, fun, and welcoming.

• Keep toddler and pretend-play areas neat and organized
• Pick up lightweight toys and return them to the correct places throughout your shift
• Lightly wipe and sanitize toys and play surfaces
• Keep the play areas clean and inviting
• Interact with young children in a friendly and positive way
• Greet and communicate with parents and families
• Help children enjoy and appropriately use the pretend-play areas
• Let Play Crew or a supervisor know when something needs heavier cleaning, repair, or maintenance

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around young children and families.

You should be friendly, outgoing, patient, dependable, organized, approachable, and comfortable talking with children and adults.

If you're the kind of person who sees toys everywhere and immediately wants to put everything back where it belongs, this might be the perfect little job for you!

This is a lower-physical-demand position, but it is not a seated position at all.

Play Helpers are expected to walk and move around their assigned play areas throughout the entire shift, regularly picking up and organizing toys. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and picking up lightweight toys and play items.

The position does not normally involve heavy lifting, climbing, maintenance work, heavy cleaning, or other higher-physical-demand Play Crew duties.

Applicants must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

This is a casual part-time/on-call position with no guaranteed minimum hours.

Work is primarily on weekends, and we prefer applicants who are generally available to work at least one weekend day.

Typical shifts are 3.5 hours with no scheduled break. Play Helpers generally work fewer than 10 hours per week.

A typical weekend schedule may look like this:

Saturday
10:00 AM–1:30 PM
1:15 PM–4:45 PM
4:30 PM–8:00 PM

Sunday
10:00 AM–1:30 PM
1:15 PM–4:45 PM
Additional evening shift only when needed

Some weekday shifts may also be available during school breaks, holidays, special events, and other busy periods.

Shifts may be scheduled in advance or offered on short notice, including the same day, depending on Kid City's staffing needs and employee call-outs.

Play Helpers may provide their general availability and preferred days off. Short-notice additional shifts may be accepted or declined based on availability. Once a shift has been accepted or scheduled, Kid City's regular attendance expectations apply.

Pay: $16

We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, friendly, outgoing, and genuinely enjoys interacting with little kids and families.
