Description: Production Assembler – Hounen Solar
Hounen Solar is hiring Production Assemblers in Summerville, SC to support day-to-day manufacturing operations. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, supporting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Schedule: 12-hour shift (Module)
Starting pay: $18/hour
- Perform assembly processes according to standard work instructions
- Assemble, fit, fasten, and/or package components and finished parts based on work standards
- Load/unload parts and materials to support assembly flow; maintain steady part flow to meet production goals
- Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
- Measure/count parts as required; document production or quality results when needed
- Identify defects, nonconforming parts, or process issues and escalate to the lead/supervisor
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow 5S / organized work area expectations
- Follow all safety policies, including PPE requirements and safe material handling
- Support team needs including cross-training and assisting in other areas as assigned
- Ability to stand/walk for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbs (as needed) and work in a manufacturing environment
- Basic math and reading comprehension (able to follow written work instructions)
- Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts, including Saturday overtime
- Willingness to follow safety, quality, and production standards consistently
- Must be comfortable wearing long sleeves and pants in addition to required PPE
Employees must arrive dressed appropriately and ready to work.

- Pants
- Shirt with sleeves
- Full shoes (must have a closed toe and closed heel)

- Tank tops
- Tube tops
- Halter tops
- Clothing with holes
- Dangling items from clothing

Preferred Qualifications- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly experience
- Experience using basic measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts (5S, continuous improvement)
- Manufacturing/industrial setting with noise, moving equipment, and temperature variations
- PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, steel toes, etc.)
