The US Commercial real estate market is entering a renewed growth phase, with major firms projecting steady recovery in leasing and investment activity across sectors like industrial, multifamily, data centers, and high-quality office assets. This growth is driving intense focus on robust finance and accounting operations.

US CFOs are tightening month-end close, lender reporting, lease accounting, and portfolio-level consolidation, and increasingly rely on specialized offshore teams to handle this work at scale. For commerce graduates, this creates a strong learning runway: you get hands-on exposure to real estate leases, property-level P&L, cash-flow and refinancing metrics, consolidations across large portfolios, and the use of AI in F&A, building a profile that is both technically strong and globally relevant in a high-demand niche market

• What you will own

• Architect and build scalable, high-performance front-end applications from the ground up for an AI-native finance and accounting automation platform

• Design a reusable component library and design system (atomic/composable components, theming, design tokens) that keeps the product consistent as it scales

• Build data-dense, intuitive interfaces for complex CRE finance workflows (invoice review, payment matching, reconciliation, lease management dashboards)

• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, handling authentication, caching, pagination, error states, and real-time updates (WebSockets/SSE)

• Define front-end architecture: state management, data-fetching patterns, routing, code-splitting, and module boundaries for a growing multi-tenant B2B SaaS product

• Build interfaces for AI-driven workflows: human-in-the-loop review screens, confidence indicators, exception queues, and streaming LLM responses

• Own front-end performance, accessibility (WCAG), security, and cross-browser quality, with strong testing practices (unit, integration, E2E)

• Collaborate with backend and AI engineers on API contracts, and contribute to backend/BFF endpoints where it speeds up delivery

• Set engineering standards for the front-end codebase: code reviews, CI/CD, linting, documentation, and mentoring other engineers
  

• 5+ years of front-end engineering experience building production web applications at scale

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from any university, or equivalent practical experience

• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with deep experience in React (Next.js) or a comparable modern framework

• Strong grasp of front-end engineering principles: component-driven architecture, separation of concerns, rendering performance, accessibility, and maintainable code

• Proven experience designing reusable, composable component systems and design systems (Storybook, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or similar)

• Hands-on experience with state management and data-fetching libraries (Redux, Zustand, React Query/TanStack Query, Apollo, or similar)

• Strong API integration skills: consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs, managing async data flows, error handling, auth (OAuth/JWT), and real-time data

• Experience building scalable front-end architectures: monorepos, micro-frontends or modular codebases, build tooling (Vite/Webpack), and CI/CD pipelines

• Solid testing discipline with Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress

• Self-motivated and autonomous - high ownership, product thinking, strong eye for UX, clear communicator

• Fast learner with startup DNA - thrive in ambiguity, move fast, iterate based on feedback

• Good to have exposure to writing APIs and backend services (Node.js, Python, or Go) or building BFF layers

• Good to have experience building interfaces for AI/LLM products, data-heavy dashboards, or financial/B2B SaaS platforms
