Child Care Worker $15/hr part time not eligible for benefits in Aurora, Illinois at Catholic Diocese of Rockford

Holy Angels Catholic School is seeking caring, dependable individuals to assist with our Extended Day program that runs M-F

2:30 -5:30 PM. Helpers provide a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for students after school. This is a flexible position for individuals who are available to work occasionally or on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Engage children in games, crafts, and other age-appropriate activities.
• Assist students with snacks, homework, and daily routines as needed.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
• Help with setup, cleanup, and organization of the Extended Day space.
• Work cooperatively with other Extended Day staff and follow school procedures.

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working with children and demonstrate patience, kindness, and good judgment.
• Be dependable, responsible, and able to supervise groups of children.
• Communicate positively with students, parents, and coworkers.
• Complete all required diocesan safe environment training and background checks before beginning work.
• Previous experience working with children is helpful but not required.
