$17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience

Green Coyote Cantina is bringing honest Tex-Mex, handcrafted margaritas, and genuine hospitality to The Dale in Avondale Estates, and we're building an incredible Back-of-House team to help launch our newest location. Inspired by the spirit of classic Texas hospitality, Green Coyote is built on a simple philosophy: great food, great drinks, and even better people. From sizzling fajitas and street tacos to house-made salsas, fresh ingredients, and timeless Tex-Mex favorites, every meal begins with quality preparation.

We're looking for dependable, detail-oriented Prep Cooks who understand that exceptional restaurants are built long before the first guest arrives. What We're Looking For
  • Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Dependable, punctual, and prepared for every shift
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Commitment to following recipes, prep sheets, and company specifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Team-first mentality with excellent communication skills
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, lunch, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Position Responsibilities
  • Prepare all food items according to company recipes, prep sheets, and quality standards
  • Wash, cut, portion, measure, mix, and prepare ingredients for daily service
  • Prepare sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other menu components according to specifications
  • Ensure proper product labeling, dating, rotation, and storage using FIFO procedures
  • Complete daily prep lists accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain prep pars to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked for service
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries
  • Follow all Health Department regulations, ServSafe guidelines, sanitation procedures, and food safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready prep area throughout every shift
  • Assist Line Cooks and kitchen leadership with additional prep and production as needed
  • Support opening, running, and closing kitchen responsibilities
  • Work closely with the entire kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Follow recipes and prep procedures exactly as written
  • Prepare every product with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Maintain organized workstations and proper food storage
  • Complete prep assignments efficiently while maintaining quality
  • Support the kitchen team through communication and teamwork
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
  • Take pride in preparing the foundation for every meal we serve
Schedule & Availability

Green Coyote Cantina is open daily from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM, serving lunch, dinner, and special events.

Prep schedules may include:

  • Morning prep shifts
  • Lunch preparation
  • Afternoon production
  • Evening support as needed
  • Weekend availability
  • Holidays and special events
  • Opening and closing responsibilities as scheduled
