Mental Health Worker:

Our Mental Health Workers partner with individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness to promote recovery, independence, and overall well-being. By delivering individualized case management, rehabilitation services, and community-based support, our team empowers consumers to achieve personal goals while navigating complex behavioral health needs. We recognize our Community Mental Health Workers as essential members of the interdisciplinary treatment team whose compassion, advocacy, and clinical expertise help improve quality of life and strengthen long-term recovery.

A Typical Day:

As a Community Mental Health Worker, a typical day might include the following:

  • Coordinating individualized services and developing rehabilitation plans that support consumers' treatment goals and recovery.
  • Providing training in daily living skills, residential counseling (when applicable), and community-based support services to promote independent functioning.
  • Monitoring consumers' overall health, providing medication self-administration education (when applicable), and assisting with healthcare coordination and oversight.
  • Responding to behavioral health crises by providing crisis intervention services and connecting consumers with appropriate resources.
  • Building and maintaining supportive, therapeutic relationships through empathy, compassion, professionalism, and respect.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams by participating in case conferences, staff meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Advocating on behalf of consumers by coordinating with healthcare providers, community agencies, and support systems to ensure access to appropriate services.
  • Completing timely documentation, assessments, and Individualized Rehabilitation Plans in accordance with program policies and regulatory requirements.

To Be Considered:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychotherapy, or a closely related behavioral health field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience working with adolescent and/or adult populations in a mental health setting is required.
  • Licensure & Certification: Valid driver's license with appropriate endorsements and Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification through the American Heart Association are required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and clinical skills with proficiency using computer-based documentation systems.
  • Schedule: Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
