East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team in West Memphis, Arkansas. This position plays an essential role in delivering quality patient care by assisting providers with examinations, treatments, preventive care, and daily clinical operations while supporting our Patient-Centered Medical Home model.

- Welcome and prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and clinical information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Perform clinical procedures including specimen collection, hearing and vision screenings, pulmonary function testing (PFT), oral and nasal swabs, and other approved patient care activities.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, medication refills, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.
- Answer patient phone calls, portal messages, and other communications professionally.
- Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies while following infection control standards.
- Monitor medication and supply inventory and remove expired products.
- Participate in daily team huddles, monthly clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and outreach activities.
- Complete required competency training, MedTrainer assignments, and continuing education.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and organizational policies.
- Support new employee training and assist with onboarding when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Ability to maintain Medical Assistant certification through required continuing education.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional Saturday coverage may be required from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Saturday shifts are scheduled in advance and shared among clinical staff as needed
