As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing payroll operations, maintaining compliance, supporting employee lifecycle processes, and ensuring accurate financial administration. You will act as a key point of contact for payroll-related matters while collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Manage the complete payroll cycle for employees, including preparation, validation, processing, and payment coordination.
- Support payroll operations for employees based in South Korea, ensuring compliance with local regulations and requirements.
- Review payroll reports, identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and implement corrections when required.
- Validate payroll information against employee records, client inputs, and internal systems to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain payroll schedules, KPI tracking, internal reporting, and master payroll data.
- Ensure employee payments are processed accurately and within required timelines.
- Handle employee payroll queries and provide timely, professional support throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, benefits information, and required documentation.
- Coordinate employment changes, including salary updates, benefit modifications, and contract amendments.
- Support compliant employee offboarding processes for both fixed-term and indefinite contracts.
- Manage payroll funding and billing activities, including invoice preparation and charging documentation.
- Ensure required background checks and compliance documentation are completed where applicable.
The ideal candidate will bring payroll expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a global, remote environment. You should be comfortable managing sensitive employee data, solving operational challenges, and communicating with multiple stakeholders.
- 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably supporting South Korean payroll operations.
- Strong understanding of South Korean payroll practices, employment regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing payroll processes, employee records, and payroll-related documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, resolve, and prevent issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling payroll data and financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and relevant local languages.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong organizational skills with a structured approach to operational tasks.
