Salesforce Technical Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Technical Architect based in the United States.

As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will provide technical leadership across enterprise Salesforce environments, guiding architecture, development, and platform evolution.
You will collaborate with development teams, application teams, and stakeholders to design scalable solutions and ensure successful implementations.
This role offers the opportunity to solve challenging technical problems while shaping best practices for Salesforce strategy, security, and integrations.
You will play a key role in modernizing platforms, improving operational efficiency, and enabling teams to deliver reliable digital solutions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Salesforce expert who combines strong architecture skills with collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide Salesforce solution architecture guidance for platform strategy, technical decisions, development activities, and business needs within complex enterprise environments.
  • Define and promote Salesforce best practices for application development, configuration, security, and platform scalability.
  • Review technical design documentation and provide architectural recommendations to ensure successful releases and deployments.
  • Support release management processes, including source control, packaging, deployment activities, and application delivery across multiple environments.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain scalable Salesforce data models aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Implement and govern Salesforce security models, including access controls, permissions, and data protection practices.
  • Design integration strategies and support middleware solutions connecting Salesforce with external enterprise systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams working within Salesforce Government Cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex Salesforce issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective enterprise-level solutions.
  • Support onboarding, mentoring, and knowledge transfer for Salesforce development and operations teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six years of Salesforce experience, including at least four years supporting complex Salesforce projects, programs, or enterprise implementations.
  • Active CBP BI clearance required.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, including security models, data access controls, permissions, and scalable platform design.
  • Experience delivering Salesforce solutions through the full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Experience with Salesforce migrations, modernization initiatives, and transitioning legacy applications to modern platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce integration patterns, middleware technologies, and connecting Salesforce with enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and experience supporting cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience with release management processes, source control, and deployment technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior customer leadership.
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect certification or equivalent advanced Salesforce architecture credential is preferred.
  • Ability to complete required government background investigation processes and meet applicable eligibility requirements.
