The Regulatory & Compliance Reporting Manager is responsible for the oversight, development, accuracy, governance, and timely completion of TrueScripts Management Services' regulatory and compliance reporting requirements.
This role serves as a key subject matter expert within the Operations function and is responsible for ensuring TrueScripts has accurate, reliable, traceable, and well-governed reporting processes to support regulatory obligations, compliance monitoring, audits, market conduct examinations, client requirements, and internal oversight.
The Regulatory & Compliance Reporting Manager partners closely with Compliance, Claims Administration, Operations, Clinical, Analytics, Finance, IT/Product, Client Success, and other stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are clearly understood, appropriately sourced, accurately calculated, validated, documented, and delivered on time.
The role will also identify opportunities to automate and improve compliance reporting, reduce manual processes, strengthen data integrity, and create scalable reporting capabilities that support TrueScripts' continued growth.
Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
- Own and maintain a comprehensive inventory of regulatory and compliance reporting requirements applicable to TrueScripts.
- Develop and maintain a centralized reporting calendar, including deadlines, reporting owners, required data, approvals, and submission requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation,validation, review, approval, and submission of regulatory and compliance reports.
- Ensure required reports are accurate, complete, appropriately documented, and submitted within required deadlines.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to understand regulatory requirements and translate them into reporting requirements.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements that may impact reporting obligations.
- Establish clear ownership and accountability for reporting inputs across the organization.
- Maintain historical records of reports, submissions, approvals, supporting documentation, and methodologies.
Compliance Reporting & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain reporting used to monitor compliance with regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements.
- Partner with Compliance leadership to identify reporting needed to monitor key compliance risks.
- Develop recurring dashboards and reports to provide leadership visibility into compliance performance.
- Support compliance monitoring and testing activities through accurate and timely data.
- Identify trends, exceptions, deficiencies, and areas of potential compliance risk.
- Escalate significant reporting discrepancies or potential compliance concerns appropriately.
- Partner with Compliance to develop reporting that supports corrective action and remediationact ivities.
Data Integrity & Reporting Governance
- Establish and maintain appropriate controls over regulatory and compliance reporting.
- Validate source data used in reports and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, calculations, business rules, methodologies, and assumptions.
- Ensure appropriate traceability from reported information back to the underlying source data.
- Partner with Analytics and IT to address data quality issues.
- Establish standardized definitions and methodologies for compliance reporting.
- Ensure reporting processes are repeatable and do not rely on undocumented institutional knowledge.
- Conduct periodic reviews of reporting processes and controls to identify opportunities for improvement.
Regulatory Change Management
- Monitor regulatory changes that may create new or modified reporting requirements.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to assess the impact of regulatory changes.
- Translate regulatory requirements into business and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate changes to reporting processes, data requirements, systems, and controls.
- Ensure regulatory changes are incorporated into reporting calendars and documented procedures.
- Communicate reporting changes to impacted stakeholders.
- Track implementation of reporting changes through completion.
Audit & Examination SupportThe Regulatory & Compliance Reporting Manager will be a key resource during:
- Market Conduct Audits
- State and Federal Regulatory Examinations
- Client Audits
- Internal Compliance Audits
- Other Regulatory or Contractual Reviews
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing regulatory and compliance reports requested during audits.
- Providing supporting documentation and source data.
- Demonstrating reporting methodologies and calculations.
- Establishing traceability between reports and underlying data.
- Coordinating responses to reporting-related auditor requests.
- Identifying and addressing recurring reporting deficiencies.
- Supporting corrective action and remediation plans.
- Maintaining an audit-ready repository of reporting documentation.
Reporting Development & Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate manual regulatory and compliance reporting.
- Partner with IT, Analytics, Product, and other teams to develop reporting tools and applications.
- Define business requirements for reporting enhancements.
- Participate in system development, testing, and implementation.
- Develop standardized reporting solutions that can scale with organizational growth.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics, workflow automation, and AI to improve compliance reporting.
- Reduce reliance on spreadsheets and manual processes where appropriate.
- Ensure automated reporting includes appropriate controls and validation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Compliance, Finance, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare, PBM, insurance, compliance, regulatory reporting, analytics, or related field.
- Experience working with complex data and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience managing multiple deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Strong project and process management skills.
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational and reporting processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily remote position with occasional travel to the TrueScripts office in Washington, Indiana, for meetings, team events, training, and cultural activities as needed
- 10% travel required
