This is a strategic enterprise sales opportunity focused on building and expanding relationships across the life sciences industry.
You will develop partnerships with Contract Research Organizations, Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and biotech organizations.
The role combines consultative selling, account strategy, business development, and deep industry engagement to address complex laboratory and operational needs.
You will own the sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through proposals, negotiations, forecasting, and closing.
Success will depend on your ability to understand sophisticated laboratory informatics environments and translate customer challenges into compelling technology solutions.
You will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, customer success, and technical teams while influencing market positioning and strategic growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished enterprise seller with strong life sciences expertise, an established network, and the ability to operate independently in a strategic, customer-focused environment.

Accountabilities
  • Own new and repeat sales of enterprise software products and professional services across an assigned portfolio of prospects and strategic accounts.
  • Develop and execute account and opportunity plans that coordinate activities from outbound campaigns and prospect engagement through negotiation and deal closure.
  • Consistently pursue and achieve established sales quotas while maintaining a strong focus on profitable, long-term customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across CRO, CDMO, pharmaceutical, and biotech organizations.
  • Conduct consultative discovery to understand customer objectives, business challenges, operating models, technology requirements, and emerging needs.
  • Recommend appropriate product configurations and professional service options based on customer requirements and business priorities.
  • Develop and deliver compelling customer presentations, proposals, quotations, and business cases that clearly communicate value.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records covering opportunities, customer interactions, presentations, closed business, follow-ups, and other regional sales activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and internal stakeholders on lead-generation programs, events, territory planning, outbound campaigns, and market development initiatives.
  • Represent customer goals and requirements internally, ensuring relevant teams understand customer priorities and opportunities.
  • Contribute market and customer insights to positioning and go-to-market strategies for the Contract Services segment.
  • Partner with Customer Success teams to develop and maintain lasting relationships with strategic customers.
  • Monitor customer projects and account activities to maintain awareness of project status, identify potential risks, and support timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage active and ongoing customer communication, including occasional conflict resolution and coordination around account-related legal documentation.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, competitive positioning, emerging technologies, and the evolving role of AI within laboratory environments.
  • Travel to regional and global customer accounts as required.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in life sciences enterprise software, ideally with experience selling to CROs, CDMOs, pharmaceutical companies, or biotech organizations.
  • Demonstrated history of consistently achieving or exceeding enterprise sales quotas.
  • Strong understanding of CRO and CDMO operating models, business drivers, technology requirements, and purchasing processes.
  • Experience with laboratory informatics solutions such as LIMS or ELN is highly desirable.
  • Established ability to initiate, cultivate, and maintain high-value relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
  • Strong consultative selling, account management, business development, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and maintaining accurate, timely sales and prospecting records.
  • Ability to create and execute territory, account, and opportunity strategies with minimal direction.
  • Strong prioritization, organization, self-discipline, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively from a remote, non-supervised environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver high-quality executive and customer presentations.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and commercially minded approach with a strong work ethic and customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations in the United States and internationally when required.
  • Must be based in the United States, with a strong preference for candidates located on the East Coast.
  • Scientific domain knowledge spanning areas such as discovery, research, development, clinical operations, or manufacturing is a strong advantage.
  • Existing relationships within the CRO industry and familiarity with contract services workflows and data management requirements are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of CRO and CDMO segments such as preclinical/toxicology, bioanalytical services, central laboratories, bioprocessing, fill-finish, and sample or study lifecycle management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with value engineering frameworks, enterprise software business-case development, and competitive positioning is beneficial.
  • Understanding of AI developments affecting laboratory environments and experience using AI tools to improve sales effectiveness and efficiency are advantageous.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Flexible remote work arrangement with opportunities for customer travel.
  • Comprehensive onboarding and training program.
  • Ongoing professional growth and development opportunities.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and supportive working environment.
  • Opportunity to build strategic relationships with organizations across the life sciences ecosystem.
  • Ability to influence enterprise sales strategy and contribute to the growth of innovative laboratory technology solutions.
  • Commitment to an inclusive workplace and equal opportunity for qualified candidates.
  • Reasonable adjustments available throughout the application, interview, and assessment process for candidates who require additional support.
