The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading an engineering team, driving successful delivery of software initiatives, and supporting the growth and development of engineers. This role partners closely with the Director of Engineering and Product Management to balance technical execution, people leadership, and business priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development conversations
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
- Oversee day-to-day execution of engineering initiatives and sprint commitments
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural decision-making
- Partner closely with Product Managers to plan, prioritize, and execute roadmap work
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth releases
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders
- Support and evolve development processes and best practices
- Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency, quality, and reliability
- Contribute to engineering hiring and onboarding efforts
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Previous people-management experience
- Experience working in a SaaS or cloud-based environment
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Salary Range: $135,000 $170,000 (base salary)
