Summerhill Market is looking for a reliable, passionate, and hardworking Weekend Baker to join our Sherwood team!

This is a great opportunity for an experienced baker looking for consistent weekend hours with competitive compensation.

• Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of fresh baked goods according to Summerhill Market's quality standards.

• Follow established recipes, production schedules, and portioning guidelines to ensure consistency.

• Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product quality.

• Ensure baked goods are fresh, beautifully presented, and ready for our customers.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe baking environment.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.

• Assist with ingredient preparation, inventory rotation, and proper storage.

• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure daily production requirements are met.

• Previous baking experience in a commercial bakery, grocery store, or professional kitchen preferred.

• Knowledge of baking techniques, equipment, and food preparation practices.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality products.

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early morning shifts.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a bakery environment.

• Food Handler Certification is an asset.

• Must be available every Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
