About This Position

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Bank Reconciliation Specialist to join our headquarters accounting team. This role will be responsible for preparing reconciliations for a large volume of bank accounts across multiple business divisions under GrubMarket. The Specialist will work closely with division personnel to research and resolve reconciling items, investigate missing transactions, and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Role Responsibilities

The Bank Reconciliation Specialist is expected to:

  • Prepare and complete bank reconciliations for a high volume of accounts across multiple business divisions.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly bank activity to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items in collaboration with business division personnel.
  • Identify and research missing, duplicate, or misclassified transactions.
  • Communicate findings and provide recommendations to management and divisional teams.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring reconciliations are accurate and complete.
  • Maintain organized documentation for reconciliations in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the reconciliation process.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in accounting or bank reconciliations; multi-entity experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Excellent diligence with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills when working across business divisions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple reconciliations and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system is a plus.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
